Introducing the Sony a7 IV: A New Addition to My Photography Arsenal

I am thrilled to share with you my latest purchase, the Sony a7 IV, a full-frame mirrorless camera that boasts incredible resolution, advanced autofocus, and improved ergonomics compared to its predecessors.

The A7 IV has an updated BIONZ XR processor, which provides faster processing speed and improved noise reduction. This means that I can capture better quality images even in poor light conditions, which I come across very often when urban exploring!

Previously, I owned a Canon 700D. I stepped down from Canon and switched to Sony, which means that I will have to look for new lenses too.

Sigma 14-24mm F/2.8 DG DN Art

A beast for capturing high quality landscape and architecture photos. The reason I chose for this lens, and not the 14mm F/1.8 variant is that I prefer to have zoom over aperture.

Sigma 24-70mm F/2.8 DG DN Art

If you ask me, this is the all round camera lens. With 835 grams, it is not a too heavy lens and allows me to easily take hand held pictures. I use this lens when I have a specific subject I want to capture.

More equipment

In addition to the lenses, I also purchased some fill lights to improve my lighting setup. Proper lighting is crucial for any photographer, and having these fill lights will help me achieve the desired look for my photos.

Overall, I am excited about the potential that this new camera and equipment brings to my photography. I cannot wait to start exploring its capabilities and pushing my creativity to new heights. Stay tuned for some stunning images coming soon!
